Minimum qualifications:
- Qualified lawyer in Spain
- Experience in a private practice or in-house legal team in Spain
- Experience working with IP, privacy/data protection, commercial, and IT law
- Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish fluently

- Familiarity with Internet technologies and experience in digital regulatory policy and/or legal matters
- Ability to manage several simultaneous projects from inception to completion within deadline

**Responsibilities**:
- Provide expert and strategic legal advice to the company, in particular to management, product and commercial teams, as well as Communications and Government Affairs/Public Policy teams in the region and across EMEA and the US.
- Respond promptly and reliably to internal and external requests for advice, specifically with regard to litigation, regulatory inquiries, agreements, commercial regulations, IP/IT, data protection, advertising, and consumer protection as needed.
- Assist with litigation, regulatory investigations, and compliance efforts as needed in cooperation with Google Legal colleagues and external counsel.
- Set internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factors. Anticipate issues and estimate risks, strategically identifying proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate such risks.
- Work cross-functionally to support our advocacy campaigns and to provide legal input on policy proposals and legislative recommendations.
