My client is a leader in disruptive video content delivery technology (MultiCDN) solutions used by streaming and broadcasting organizations worldwide. They are expanding their team and seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who combines software and systems engineering to build and operate large-scale, distributed systems. The cloud engineer plays a key role in their growing cloud platform. The position offers remote work from anywhere within 2-3 hours of CET, with a start time of 9 am WET and some flexibility.

What you will find in this position:
We seek a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help scale and secure our AWS infrastructure. You will support engineering efforts by building reliable infrastructure, enhancing observability with Grafana, and implementing security best practices. Ideal candidates have some professional cloud experience and a passion for learning and ownership.
Responsibilities:
Improve service monitoring, automating alerts for timely problem detection.
Design and maintain reliable cloud architecture with minimal downtime.
Develop and monitor security policies for engineering services.
Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, code, configurations, and data.
Document knowledge sharing within the team.
Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools and strategies.
What we expect from you:
Experience with AWS cloud environments.
Use Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform for automation.
Experience designing and operating large-scale production systems.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes).
Support security best practices (IAM, secrets management, VPC).
Participate in incident response and postmortem processes.
Proficiency with source control (Git, GitLab).
Work experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Team-oriented and proactive in improving workflows.
Willingness to take on challenges.
While remote and flexible, some daily synchronization with the team is expected between 09:00 and 13:00 WET during summer.
Nice to have:
Serverless architecture experience (AWS).
Experience with databases/message brokers (Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
Performance and security testing experience.
Familiarity with container technologies (ECS, EKS, Docker).
Contributions to security or observability initiatives.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
Experience in DevOps or SRE cultures.
