Our team of Cloud Infrastructure Black Belts in OCI Cloud Compute Services is looking to hire a subject matter expert in this field to work with clients in our EMEA Region.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDeliver successful customer engagements leading to increased consumption.Collaborate with the Account Cloud Engineers and Sales in the field to define the scope and deliverables for customer requirements.Support the Account Cloud Engineers by providing deep expertise and experience about OCI Compute service.Accelerate customer opportunities through technical presentations, Proof of Concept (PoC), and solution assistance.Identify market trends and value propositions.Engage in thought leadership and evangelism. Continuously deepen domain skills through relevant training courses. Participate in defining and rolling out sales initiatives. Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to gain early competence in new solutions/features. Maintain a deep understanding of competitors' cloud offerings and OCI's differentiators. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing.Cross-collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Work collaboratively with other domains, workload architects, lift teams, and shared services. Collaborate across the consulting ecosystem and Oracle partners to scale engagement models. Contribute to Communities of Practice to foster collaboration. Develop team assets like white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and migration components to aid deployment of domain solutions.Governance & Reporting:
Complete all relevant certifications and enablements. Leverage systems supporting customer engagements. Provide timely status updates and reports as required.Skills and ProfileBachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Relevant experience in IaaS architecture, engineering, or management.Strong understanding of cloud design principles, including security, scalability, and performance.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.Familiarity with hypervisors (e.G., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and managing Compute Services.Good knowledge of Linux and Windows OS, including installation, configuration, and administration.Understanding of Virtual Machines (VM), Bare-Metal servers, and their use cases.Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing, subnets, firewalls, and load balancing.Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.Teamwork skills, with the ability to work with sales, engineering, and customer teams.Knowledge of HPC environments is a plus.In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services is a plus.Preferred QualificationsCertifications:
OCI Certified Architect Associate, OCI Architect Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified:
