Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist with strong expertise in optimization to join our growing team. As Data Scientist II, you will be responsible for constructing optimization models based to solve business problems and communicate the result to business stakeholders. You will also be responsible for working with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data analytics initiatives.
Main Accountabilities:
- Design, create, test, and implement complex models and algorithms that drive analytical solutions throughout the organization.
- Helps to coordinate the data science workstream.
- Conduct statistical and other analyses to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and measure performance.
- Collaborate with business analysts and understand business problems to implement scalable and sustainable solutions.
- Coordinate with MIS, Digital Specialists, and Data Engineers to deliver holistic analytical solutions. Communicate the design, functioning and output of the analytical models/solutions developed.
- Ensure timely analysis and testing for regular maintenance of solutions over time.
- Communicate data insights to stakeholders.
Education & Experience:
- Post graduate degree in STEM field or Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years' experience as Data Scientist I
- Expert in programming language like Python or R
- Strong foundations in math, analytics and computer science, knowledge of machine learning methods, statistical models, advanced data science programming
- Proficient in visualization tools to create reports.
- Good understanding of database designs. Prior course work is a plus
- Demonstrated ability for creative and innovative thinking
- Act as a great team player and pitch new ideas, take responsibility to improve code quality and impact.
- Has optimization background or at least 1-2 year of experience with optimization modeling.
