Junior Payroll Specialist
About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Payroll Specialist to join our Compensation&Benefits team and support the Payroll Lead in managing end‐to‐end payroll activities for Huawei Spain. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional with 1–2 years of experience, ideally in an international environment, who is eager to grow, learn, and take ownership of operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the monthly payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local legislation and internal policies.
* Collect, verify, and process payroll-related data (absences, benefits, new hires, terminations, etc.).
* Collaborate closely with external payroll providers and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth payroll execution.
* Prepare and maintain payroll reports, dashboards, and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
* Assist in the administration of employee benefits, social security processes, and tax-related matters.
* Contribute to process improvements, documentation updates, and standardization initiatives within HR Operations.
* Provide general administrative support to the Payroll Lead and HR team when needed.
Requirements
* 1–2 years of experience in payroll, HR administration, or a similar role.
* Experience in a multinational or international environment is highly valued.
* Strong analytical mindset and interest in working with reports, data, and Excel.
* High level of flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
* Basic knowledge of Spanish labor law, social security, and payroll processes.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
* Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
