We are seeking a passionate and dedicated legal professional to play a key role in our operations in Spain. As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day legal and compliance activities.
Your role will involve advising the business on legal and compliance risks and collaborating closely with local teams to develop practical solutions and responses. Key Responsibilities
* Supporting day-to-day legal and compliance activities in Spain.
* Drafting agreements, customer documents, and all types of legal documentation.
* Driving business compliance with applicable European and national legal and regulatory requirements.
* Working with Genworth Europe’s Compliance and Government Relations team to devise and implement Compliance & GR programs.
Your Profile
Must have
* Qualified lawyer in Spain with 2-6 years experience in financial services.
* Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) in English and Spanish (French will be an advantage).
* Proven drafting and negotiation skills.
* International mindset
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
* Insurance & Reinsurance expertise
* Knowledge of the regulatory framework for insurance in Spain
* Experience of working for a multinational company
* Proficiency in working across various jurisdictions.

* Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
* High energy levels and works well under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Ability to effectively communicate with different teams.
