Mechanical engineer
The candidate would support DEIMOS in several projects regarding structural design and analysis including ground support equipment. Additionally, the candidate would support CubeSat and minisat missions defining, executing and reporting for AIT campaigns.
Main Duties:
The person in charge of this position would support DEIMOS on the complete life cycle of space structures and GSE including the AIV phase.
Education:
Preferred MSc in Aerospace/Industrial Engineering
Professional Experience:
0-3 years in relevant positions
Technical Requirements:
The candidate must be capable of adapting to new languages and technologies. The candidate should have some, but not all, of the skills below:
1. Detailed knowledge of space structures cycle of life from specification up to manufacturing and verification
2. Knowledge of some space analysis and design tools: CATIA v5, Nastran/Patran…
3. Knowledge of New Space approach and techniques
4. Knowledge of AIV/AIT applied to space missions
5. Experience of writing relevant design and requirements documentation
Any of the following skills are desirable:
6. Knowledge of the systems and subsystems encompassing a CubeSat
7. Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink
8. Knowledge of micro vibrations applied to space systems
9. Technical writing, including user-facing documentation
Language Skills:
English (B2 level as minimum)
