**Description**
**The opportunity**
You will join our sourcing team as a Category Manager with responsibility for a defined group of material categories. You will drive strategy, supplier performance and long-term improvements across five subcategories: Coatings, Fasteners, Gaskets, Crimp and Clamp Connectors, and Rubber Parts. You will work with colleagues across engineering, operations, quality and procurement to align decisions with our long-term business goals.
You will shape category strategy and build strong supplier partnerships. You will work with integral teams and regional stakeholders to support sustainable improvements in cost, quality, delivery and reliability. You will also help standardize materials and processes across our footprint.
This role gives you the chance to lead complex sourcing work and influence how we manage your subcategories across the region. You will take ownership of decisions, guide colleagues involved in category work and play a key part in improving our processes. We value collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous learning, and you will grow your expertise through daily interaction with experienced teams.
**How you’ll make an impact**
- You develop and implement category strategies for your component categories.
- You lead supplier evaluations and sourcing decisions in your category scope.
- You negotiate and manage supplier agreements and long‑term partnerships.
- You drive standardization and simplification initiatives to optimize cost, quality and supply resiliency.
- You work with planning and Fulfillment, engineering, quality and operations to align decisions with business needs.
- You identify improvements and share best practices across the supply chain.
- You manage category‑related projects with ownership and mínimal oversight.
- You support colleagues and Factory SCMs to ensure alignment and best practices in category activities
- You secure supply continuity through proactive risk identification and mitigation.
**Your background**
- You have 5+ years of experience in category management, sourcing, procurement or a related field.
- You can develop and implement sourcing strategies across multiple suppliers.
- You bring solid negotiation skills and experience with supplier agreements.
- You have experience leading complex sourcing initiatives.
- You collaborate well with cross-functional teams.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- You analyze data and translate findings into sourcing actions.
- You work independently and take ownership of decisions.
- You are fluent in English.
