Mission Lead the controlling function for Spain and act as key finance owner for the ERP implementation, together with country Finance Manager, ensuring standardized, efficient, and compliant processes (P2P, O2C, R2R) and high‑quality reporting. During the ERP implementation, both roles will actively support each other in mapping AS‑IS processes and designing/adopting the TO‑BE model. After go‑live, lead the Internal Controls framework to strengthen compliance and process discipline. Serve as backup/deputy to the Country Finance Manager to release capacity during peak periods and program phases.
Key Responsibilities
Controlling/FP&A;
Co‑lead monthly performance reviews with the Country Finance Manager.
Deliver budget, forecast, and actionable insights (P&L;, balance sheet, cash).
Partner with business on pricing, margin, and OPEX/Capex discipline.
Produce management reporting packs and KPIs; drive forecast accuracy and variance analysis by product/customer/channel.
ERP implementation (Spain lead; joint with Country Finance Manager)
Jointly lead the finance transformation from AS‑IS to TO‑BE (process mapping, design, adoption, change management).
Own finance requirements, fit‑gap, configuration sign‑offs; coordinate closely with the CFM on adoption and change management.
Lead master data readiness and data migration; plan and execute cutover.
Validate reporting and controls; ensure training, SOPs, role‑based access, and go‑live readiness.
Internal Controls framework (post‑ERP focus)
Own the country ICFR program post go‑live aligned with corporate standards.
Define/document key controls across P2P, O2C, R2R, Treasury, and Financial Reporting; ensure ownership and evidence.
Lead control testing, remediation, audit readiness; maintain RCMs, narratives, and flowcharts.
Establish monitoring cadence with AP/AR/GL/Treasury and the Country Finance Manager; report deficiencies and remediation status.
Backup/deputy to the Country Finance Manager (capacity relief).
Act as backup for operational approvals and governance (payment runs, vendor/customer master approvals, journal approvals) per delegation of authority.
Co‑manage month‑end close cadence and deliverables; step in during CFM absence to ensure timelines and quality.
Support business reviews, cash forecasting cadence, and stakeholder communications to free up CFM capacity during ERP milestones or peak periods.
Take ownership of selected operational tasks/workstreams to balance load and maintain execution continuity.
Close, compliance, and reporting: coordinate the close calendar with the CFM; ensure quality postings and reconciliations.
Ensure Spanish GAAP/tax specifics are captured in ERP and reports; deliver corporate/regional reporting packs on time.
Requirements
Education: Degree in Finance/Accounting; master’s or professional certification (CPA/CA/CIMA) is a plus.
Experience: 3-5+ years in controlling/FP&A; or financial management in multinational/corporate environments.
ERP implementation is a plus.
Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
Tools: ERP (Microsoft BS, SAP, Oracle); Excel/BI.
Skills: Analytical rigor, project management, change management, excellent communication in Spanish and English.
Attributes: Ownership, reliability for backup duties, detail orientation, collaborative mindset with the CFM, ability to operate in a matrix organization, resilience under deadlines.
Based in Spain (Madrid, Salamanca); travel 20–30%.
