Job Description
We are looking for a Maintenance & Automation Engineer for our DC in Barcelona (Spain)!
The Maintenance & Automation Engineer is a subject matter expert in Process Automation, and at the same time a generalist able to independently manage electronic and electrical maintenance activities. This person will optimize and modify automation controls of manufacturing assets, facilities etc, in standalone projects or participate as a team member in cross functional project teams. This person will also ensure the business continuity of the facility production assets by defining and executing efficient maintenance programs.
This person will search for and provide technical innovations in the Process Automation field, working in teams including ao. Operations, EHS, Quality and Supply Chain.
Key responsibilities :
* By providing technical support to our Barcelona Distribution Center you will be focused on improving the performance of our operations (slitting and automated packaging lines) to achieve production excellence by working multiple functions and influencing others as well as by driving for best results according to the business needs and safety and health requirements.
* you will work under only general direction.
* you will independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
* you will manage business critical suppliers and network with internal technical experts.
* you will work together with local operations and continuous improvement teams to improve the reliability of manufacturing assets.
Qualifications
Let's talk about you !
* you have a complete understanding and wide application of Process Automation disciplines (eg. Siemens, Rockwell, ….), both on Hardware, Software and documentation aspects. General knowledge of other related technical disciplines.
* you have 2+ Years engineering, scientific or related experience with Bachelor’s Degree, or alternatively no working experience with a Masters Degree in Automation Engineering.
* you demonstrated working knowledge/experience in process automation.
* You have strong math and analytical skills.
* you have strong organization skills and you possess attention to detail.
* you have the strong ability to communicate effectively and integrate in an existing group.
* you have the ability to interface effectively with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements.
* you are fluent in English and Spanish
