Role: Cyber Security Architect
Summary
We are at Coforge hiring for Cyber Security Architect with IAM, SIEM, VPN. The position is located in Madrid, Spain and is a permanent role that requires Spanish C1/C2 and English C1/C2 language proficiency.
Job Responsibilities / Role
* Developing and designing security architecture that aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements, encompassing network, system, applications, and data.
* Conducting risk assessments to identify and prioritise cybersecurity risks and developing risk management strategies and mitigation plans to address identified vulnerabilities.
* Implementing security controls, technologies, and best practices to protect against common cybersecurity threats, such as malware, phishing, ransomware, and insider threats.
* Developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and organisational security objectives.
* Developing incident response plans and procedures, establishing incident detection and response capabilities and leading incident response efforts to minimise the impact of security incidents.
* Monitoring and analysing threat intelligence feeds, security advisories and cyber threat trends to identify emerging threat and vulnerabilities.
* Conducting security assessments, penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weakness in security controls.
* Providing training and awareness programs to educate employees and stakeholders about risks, best practices, and compliance requirements.
* Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment of cybersecurity efforts with business objectives and effectively communicating to senior management.
Mandatory Skills
* In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, concepts and best practices including threat modelling, risk assessment and security controls.
* Substantial knowledge/experience of network security technologies and protocols such as firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, VPNs and secure network design principles.
* Experience/knowledge of application security concepts, secure coding practices and techniques.
* Demonstrable experience of cloud computing e.g. AWS, Azure, and expertise in securing cloud‑based environments including identity access management (IAM).
* Experience of conducting security assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and security audits.
* Experience in developing incident response plans and procedures.
* Significant demonstrable experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies such as SIEM.
* Experience of delivering verbal and written communications to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse levels and abilities of staff.
* Leadership abilities to lead cross‑functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
* Project management skills/experience of planning executing and managing cybersecurity project(s).
* Experience within financial services or regulated environments.
* Exposure to large-scale enterprise platforms and transformation programmes.
* Familiarity with secure design in cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments.
* Experience acting as a Solution Architect or Technical Design Authority.
* Pragmatic and risk‑based approach to security.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
* Ability to operate across a wide range of technologies and domains.
* Collaborative, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
* Comfortable operating in governance‑driven environments.
Qualifications
* CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
* CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
* AWS Solutions Architect (or equivalent cloud certification)
* TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
