As a Senior SAP EWM Consultant, you will serve as a subject-matter expert responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Extended Warehouse Management solutions across our global organization. You will lead complex warehouse projects end-to-end, working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to deliver scalable and high-performing warehouse operations. In this role, you will also act as a mentor to junior consultants and drive continuous improvement initiatives across our warehouse landscape.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end SAP EWM implementations and rollouts across multiple global sites, ensuring alignment with business requirements and integration with SAP S/4HANA and ERP landscapes
Design and configure complex EWM processes including inbound/outbound logistics, warehouse task management, slotting, labor management, and yard management to support high-volume, multi-site warehouse operations
Serve as the primary point of contact for global warehouse stakeholders; gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications, and oversee solution design, testing, and go-live activities
Provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting for EWM-related issues across all regions; collaborate with Basis, ABAP development, and integration teams to resolve complex technical challenges
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level EWM consultants; contribute to knowledge-sharing practices, internal training sessions, and the continuous development of the team's EWM capability
Define and drive the EWM roadmap in collaboration with IT management and Supply Chain leadership; identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and system enhancements aligned with global business strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, production, transport management) to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain integration; manage interfaces between EWM and TM, MM, PP, and third-party WMS/automation systems
Ensure compliance with global standards, local regulatory requirements, and change management best practices throughout the project lifecycle; prepare and maintain key documentation including functional specs, test scripts, training materials, and solution blueprints
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of hands-on SAP EWM experience, with a proven track record of delivering minimum 3 complex, large-scale warehouse implementations in a global organizational context
Deep expertise in SAP EWM core processes (goods receipt/issue, putaway strategies, wave management, packing, physical inventory, RF framework) and proven experience integrating EWM with SAP S/4HANA, TM, and ERP modules (MM, PP, SD)
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (required); SAP EWM certification is strongly preferred
Fluent English (required); additional languages such as German, French, or Spanish are a plus given the global nature of the role
Experience with automation technologies (conveyor systems, sorters, goods-to-person systems) and familiarity with Agile/hybrid project methodologies; strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with ability to work across cultures and time zones (preferred)
