Job Title
Data Operations Analyst
Summary of the role:
The Data Analyst will be instrumental in maintaining and supporting global hospitality industry data to support our Business Intelligence Solutions. This role will perform a diverse set of critical duties related to the implementation and maintenance of processes to acquire and retain quality data assets. The role involves working with top global hospitality organizations and independent hotels to deliver data that meet extract specifications and pass data validation standards.
Your main responsibilities:
* Facilitate communication between the business and technical teams throughout the data acquisition process.
* Analyze and document business requirements to support the data acquisition process.
* Identify areas for data quality improvement and resolve data quality problems through error detection, correction, process improvement, and process design strategies.
* Utilize data profiling tools and database queries to uncover and determine root causes of data quality issues.
* Recommend enhancements to data acquisition processes and systems of record to improve data accuracy.
* Conduct ongoing data analysis and auditing to support timely and accurate delivery to clients.
About the ideal candidate:
* Relevant experience in the hospitality industry, with a solid understanding of hotel operations, terminology, and data standards.
* Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and analysis is beneficial.
* Familiarity with ETL workflows, data warehousing, and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
* Proven ability to manage and implement tactical projects efficiently.
* Understanding of database and data warehouse architecture is beneficial.
* Self-starter who works well in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
* Fluency in English.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
