Job Summary:
Join a major international initiative focused on incorporating new needs (a brand-new Equities & Equity Swap module) into the Calypso v17+ platform.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead design, development, integration, and deployment of the Equities & Equity Swap module within Calypso v17 or higher.
* Offer expert technical guidance on equities, derivatives, and equity swap trade capture, lifecycle events, P&L and risk workflows.
* Build custom Java (Spring Boot) solutions to support the new module and integrate with back office components and interfaces.
* Manage data mappings, messaging flows, system-to-system communications, and integration with external services and middleware.
* Drive version upgrade coordination, ensuring smooth delivery from legacy to Calypso v17+ and full module rollout.
* Work on settlement process enhancements, particularly debt, equity trades, and swap settlements.
* Maintain and evolve the GBI platform, including process flows, validation, and communication frameworks.
* Participation in implementations.
Requirements:
* At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Calypso, specifically version 16 or newer.
* Practical knowledge of Equities, Equity Swaps, Portfolio Swaps, Derivatives, or FX. Knowledge of fixed income is an asset.
* Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience.
* Solid working skills with Linux, SQL, Git, and system integration stacks.
* Familiarity with APIs, message queues, and middleware-based communication.
* Proven communication capability in English, engaging with global teams and technical stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical execution.
* B2-C1 – English level. No accreditation is required, but it is necessary to be able to communicate.
Desirable:
* Prior involvement in Calypso module implementation or customization, especially for equities and swaps or building Calypso APIs, custom engines, and reporting frameworks.
