JUNO Genetics-Spain is looking for a Genetic Analyst to join our team based in Valencia. If you're passionate about the world of Genetics, this is your opportunity!Your main mission will be to provide a specialist clinical service in reproductive genetics laboratory including the interpretation of clinical reports referred from various healthcare providers prior to test analysis, generate of genetic reports, and support for the efficient and effective operation of the laboratory, ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of test results.Responsibilities:Analysis and interpretation of genetic results to perform matching between patients/donors for reproductive risk assessment.Manage clinical information and reports between Juno Genetics laboratory and reference clinicians for the purpose of genetic testing like case-acceptance for PGT cases (prePGT). Communicate patients results and answer enquiries from health care professionals, providing information and explaining results, within departmental guidelines and according to the professional code of conduct.Interpret clinical information and use scientific knowledge to process specimens for appropriate tests, seeking advice from senior staff when necessary. Review, prepare and send reports that have been authorized by lab management.To assist, when required, in the preparation of documents for the laboratory’s Quality Management System, according to the standards of ISO15189. Requirements: Academic training: Academic: BSc /MSc or equivalent in Biological SciencesLanguages: Fluent English.Experience: +1 year of experience in carrier screening, preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic diseases or related genetic tests. Previous experience using information from existing databases, and from literature, to identify and curate genetic variants in our internal database according to guidelines (e.g., ACMG) is highly desirable.Personal/soft skills:-Good organizational skills.-Work accurately, neatly, and efficiently.
