The platform team will be responsible for operating legacy analytic & business intelligence solutions and their associated data pipelines across Vodafone following migration onto the Google Cloud Platform, and will be an integral part of Dynamo a multi-year program to roll out a new Business Intelligence Solution based on Google Cloud Platform for all local markets replacing the existing BI solution. The role is a member of the Platform team acting as both dev/ops and operational roles. This role requires an experienced technical automation and cloud expert able to define the best DevOps, devsecops and noops practices. The role also requires operational experience in order to be able to ensure a smooth implementation of site reliability engineering-based operating model. **Site reliability engineers** will also have to add automation for improved collaborative response in real-time, besides updating documentation, runbook tools, and modules to ready teams for incidents. As a **DevOps Engineer**, you´ll be in charge of the following responsibilities:
- Individual DevOps Contributor with expertise in Automation
- Operations experience with a focus on troubleshooting live issues
- Automate all monitoring, fault detection, and self-repairing processes involved with GCP, Data Pipelines, and CDAP platform
- Create image build automation to ensure secure images are constructed
- Automation of CI/CD pipelines
- Act as an Individual Contributor in the DevOps team and contribute to team goals in the sprints with deep expertise
**What do you bring?**
- Studies related to IT environment.
- Expertise in **DevOps **Automation processes.
- Automation using **Ansible, Terraform**:
- Experience using **Kubernetes **and containers.
- CI/CD implementation expertise - Jenkins or GoCD
- Experience with **BigData technologies** such as Spark, Kafka, CDAP, and Nifi mandatory
- Experience with cloud platforms, **GCP will be a plus**.
- Fixing cases related to support escalation. You should fully know critical issues to route support escalation incidents to concerned teams.
- Comfortable that based on post-incident reviews optimizes the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to boost service reliability.
- All round technical ability in scripting.
- Artifact management using such as Git, Nexus, Maven, Pip.
- Configuration management using etcd, Consul or similar
- Linux OS capabilities.
- Monitoring - Stack Driver.
- Fluent in English with spoken and written ability.
