Role Overview
As Commercial Planning & CVM Sports, you will drive sports commercial success in the Spanish market through strategic customer value management and compelling promotional propositions. Managing one specialist as part of the Spain country team, you will develop and optimise tailored commercial plans and CVM strategies that position our sports offering for podium performance in this critical market.
We need a Commercial Planning & CVM Sports, who can elevate Spain's sports commercial and customer value strategies to achieve podium positioning in this highly competitive market. Building on our existing market strategy, you will own sports commercial performance whilst developing tailored approaches that reflect local player preferences and competitive dynamics.
Reporting to the Commercial & CVM Lead for Spain, you will balance customer value management with commercial planning whilst managing the sports offset budget and partnering with local marketing teams to drive towards podium positioning.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and optimise comprehensive commercial plan and CVM strategy specifically for the Spanish sports market, building on existing foundations to achieve podium market positioning.
- Own sports offset budget for Spain, ensuring efficient allocation and strong ROI across customer acquisition and retention to drive competitive performance.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, working closely with local marketing teams to ensure culturally relevant delivery that differentiates our offering.
- Build Spain-specific segmentation strategies by analysing local customer behaviour, preferences, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for market share growth.
- Analyse commercial and CVM performance, extracting insights to continuously optimise strategies and drive revenue growth towards podium positioning.
- Work with the Betting lead for the region to ensure product requirements are captured and prioritised to deliver for our Spanish proposition
- Align with our Trading teams to ensure a localised, market leading betting proposition for the Spanish market
- Lead and develop one specialist, providing strategic direction and coaching whilst building local commercial expertise within the Spain team.
- Collaborate with Commercial/CVM Lead for Spain and vertical counterparts to ensure aligned execution across poker, sports, and sports operations.
- Stay informed about Spanish market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments to maintain strategic advantage.
What you’ll bring:
- Genuine passion and interest in the sports betting industry essential, with curiosity about sports operations, player behaviour, and competitive strategies.
- Spanish language fluency essential, with native or near-native proficiency for working in the local market context.
- Positive attitude with excellent work ethic, eager to work hard, take on challenges, and support team objectives whilst learning from experienced colleagues.
- Strong willingness to learn about commercial marketing, customer value management, and the competitive Spanish sports betting market.
- Basic analytical aptitude with eagerness to develop data analysis skills and learn to extract insights from campaign and customer performance.
- Excellent attention to detail with ability to support campaign execution accurately whilst learning to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively across teams and present information clearly whilst building professional relationships.
- Collaborative mindset with enthusiasm for supporting collective objectives whilst bringing positive energy and fresh perspective to the workplace.
- Interest in emerging technologies and how innovations might enhance commercial strategies and customer experiences.
- Adaptability with positive approach to learning new skills and taking on evolving responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic proficiency or strong willingness to learn tools like Excel for campaign tracking and performance measurement.
