Duration: Permanent/ Freelence
Description:
Lead end-to-end delivery of the Knowledge Graph (KG) as a stable, usable, and integrated product component within the Operations Knowledge Fabric and broader product ecosystem.
Own the KG delivery lifecycle from data/ontology modeling through technical readiness, integration, and handover to consuming teams.
Service Overview:
This role focuses on leading knowledge graph projects using modern graph technologies and semantic frameworks. Responsibilities include:
Building robust graph-based architectures
Integrating semantic models
Ensuring seamless interaction with AI-driven components
Working with infrastructure architecture
Optimizing data pipelines
Implementing best practices for scalability and security
Collaboration within agile teams and maintaining high-quality standards are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the KG is fit for purpose : validate ontology and schema against product requirements and prioritized use cases.
Coordinate data ingestion, transformations, enrichment, indexing, and inference processes, ensuring data quality and graph integrity.
Define and manage boundaries and handoff : APIs/endpoints, export mechanisms, versioning strategy, documentation, sample queries, usage guidelines, and known limitations.
Align KG integration with product roadmaps and platform architecture ; manage dependencies across systems and teams.
Track and communicate progress, milestones, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
Ensure non-functional readiness : performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring, security, and compliance.
Act as primary point of contact for the KG component, articulating its value and constraints.
Drive and enforce ways of working : collaboration with data engineers, ontologists, product managers, QA, and platform teams.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
Strong understanding of data management : lifecycle, quality, metadata, governance.
Solid knowledge of semantics : vocabularies, taxonomies, ontologies, with practical experience in ontology-driven modeling.
Proven experience leading delivery of complex data or semantic/knowledge-graph initiatives in multi-team environments.
Ability to bridge business and technology : translate requirements into semantic models and delivery plans.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills .
Nice to Have:
Hands-on experience with Cognite (e.g., Cognite Data Fusion, Cognite Data Model).
Experience with semantic web / KG technologies (RDF/OWL, SPARQL, graph databases) and modern data engineering stacks.
Background in pharma, manufacturing, or industrial operations with exposure to semantic standards.
