What will you do?
Responsibilities
Operational Risk Management ( ORM )
Centralize all information related to Op Risk Incidents and ensure Op Risk Incidents eligible for
disclosure are properly recorded in Archer in compliance with internal policies/procedures
• Support 1LoR teams in performing detailed investigations on every case to help them 1°) identify
the root cause of the incidents and 2°) come up with appropriate remediation plans
• Monitor proper timely execution by 1LoR teams of remediation plans
• Lead / coordinate drafting by 1LoR teams of Incident Learning Reports which are required for Op
Risk Incidents above € 500K impact threshold; lead/coordinate deep dive analysis whenever
required
• Provide oversight/management information reports to the Local Risk Committee (LRC) about the
status of Op Risk position
• Prepare ad-hoc reports/analysis as required, and help 1LoR teams to adjust Op Risk mitigants to the
business environment
• Spread awareness deliver training to the local organization about operational risk management
• Spread awareness deliver trainings to the local organization about external fraud prevention and
contribute to the work-streams / initiatives that are aimed at reducing external fraud losses
• Interface with Corporate Regional teams on any Op Risk topics
Business Continuity Management ( BCM )
• Provide oversight coordinate activities to ensure timely execution of BCM deliverables
• Support 1LoR teams in performing their own BCM duties
• Monitor quality of information recorded in Archer by 1LoR teams in connection with BCM
deliverables to ensure they meet Corporate quality standards
• Update regularly the Local Risk Committee (LRC) about the status of BCM deliverables
• Interface with Corporate Regional teams on any BCM topics
Enterprise Risk Management ( ERM )
Ensure timely execution of the following activities/deliverables owned by the 2LoR function :
• Risk Appetite Monitoring ( RAS Report ) and Enterprise Country Risk Monitoring ( ECRM Dashboard )
• Field Audits in line with internal policies/procedures ( schedule monitoring, sample selection, reportout validation, governance oversight, supplier management )
• Provide oversight coordinate activities to ensure timely execution of the following
activities/deliverables owned by the 1LoR functions :
• Annual Bill Collect ( B&C ) Audits
• Annual Outsourcing Risk Review ( including the risk assessment of any new outsourcing solutions
before on-boarding )
Manage the Local Risk Committee (LRC) process ( including agenda meeting pack preparation,
minutes drafting )
Who are we looking for?
Requirements:
Higher Educational degree ( at least M1 or equivalent ) in Business Management / Banking / Risk
Management
• Easygoing attitude, able to build positive relationships with 1LoR business teams.
• Min 3+ year proven experience in Risk management ( excluding internships or equivalent ) in a
banking environment – preferably in a Corporate lending environment – or at a consulting/audit
firm
• Min 2+ year proven experience in a similar Op Risk Management role ( excluding internships or
equivalent ) in a banking institution – preferably in Corporate lending environment
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Self-starter and well organized
• Strong analytical skills – with ability to clearly articulate complex topics
• Good communication skills – both oral and written – across all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in large, multi-country and matrix based organizations
• Interested in operational (hands-on ) roles whilst capable to contribute or drive higher-level and/or
longer-term projects/initiatives
Minimum 3 years of experience in the HR area and/or accredited training
High knowledge in the area of compensation and benefits.
Strategic vision, accustomed to high levels of interlocution, collaborator, good worker in
team, empathetic and generator of ideas and solutions
High level of English, oral and written (essential requirement)
Medium-high level of Portuguese. (desirable).
