In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative modular converter platforms for grid-connected and DC applications, helping shape the future of energy systems. /pp This position offers strong technical exposure, involvement in cutting-edge RD projects, and the opportunity to work on technologies deployed worldwide. /p pb How You’ll Make an Impact /b /pulli Develop and implement advanced b control algorithms /b for power converters, electrical machines, and renewable energy systems. /lili Analyse system stability and electrical transients, including faults, voltage dips, frequency disturbances, and power oscillation damping (POD). /lili Perform modelling and simulation of electrical systems, renewable plants, microgrids, and storage solutions using tools such as b PSCAD /b. /lili Support grid code compliance studies and validation of Grid-Following and Grid-Forming control strategies. /lili Conduct proof-of-concept activities, debugging, commissioning, and validation of power conversion systems in laboratory environments. /lili Analyse logs, signals, and performance metrics, generating clear technical reports to support engineering, quality, and certification teams. /li /ul pb Your Background /b /pulli BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Power Systems, or related field. /lili Strong knowledge of b frequency and voltage regulation controls /b for electrical networks. /lili Hands-on experience with b PSCAD /b or similar simulation tools; knowledge of PowerFactory or PSSE is valued. /lili Proven experience developing and implementing b closed-loop control systems /b for power electronics converters and/or electrical machines. /lili Knowledge of b Grid-Forming and Grid-Following systems /b, renewable integration, and energy storage applications. /lili Proficiency in b C/C++ and Python /b ; experience with HIL systems and grid code compliance is a plus. /lili Advanced English level and strong motivation to work on innovative energy technologies. /li /ul pb About Us /b /ppb Hitachi Energy /b is a integral technology leader in electrification, powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies with digital solutions at the core.
