Assistant Restaurant Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, I will assist the Restaurant Manager and assume responsibility for the efficient operation of the restaurant to provide exceptional products and services within brand standards. I will ensure policies, procedures, and best practices are in place and enforced. I will support rejuvenating the restaurant and culinary experience, keeping menus and wine lists relevant and aligned with wellness and sustainability practices.
I will collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs, maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, specials, and wine list, and be able to recommend wines in the absence of a sommelier. Maintaining a high standard of personal appearance, grooming, hygiene, and knowledge of safety and emergency procedures is essential.
Interacting professionally and courteously with guests and hosts, seeking feedback proactively, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure are key responsibilities. I will perform additional duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
Qualifications
I possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hotel, or Business Management, with over two years of experience in a similar role within luxury hotels. I am a proactive leader with excellent organizational skills, capable of providing focused direction and establishing the property's market position.
My experience includes frontline restaurant management, product and service quality, and a passion for excellence tailored to luxury customers. I am responsive, engaged, and capable of building strong relationships with staff, leveraging resources, and managing through influence.
Technical skills include proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), familiarity with hotel systems like MICROS, and knowledge of food and beverage operations, wine service, menu development, hygiene standards, and inventory control.
