Report to Spain Country Manager. Responsible for the negotiation and purchasing of the services required by the ocean product in Spain. Optimize Spain procurement based on local needs for growth, following global carrier strategy and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and coloaders. Assisting with Europe Ocean Pricing process, liaising with relevant stakeholders (Product, Pricing, business development, operations teams) maintaining effective communication and strong working relationships. Position holder will have a strong focus on data accuracy, process efficiency, and excellent time management and Excel tool capabilities.
Tasks and duties
Spain Ocean Procurement:
1. Negotiate FCL and LCL ocean rates and allocation depending on local pipeline to increase our market share
2. Visit and develop strong relationships with carriers
3. Business development support and trade lane optimization
4. Compliance and risk management
Spain Quotation tools:
5. Ensure Contracts and Rates are accurately and timely updated in Freightos quotation platform for our Spanish pricing team and our Network
6. Ensure Customer Tariffs maintenance in Cargowise
7. Analyze hit ratio and results, determine opportunities, and take actions to growth
European Tenders & Request for Quotations (RFQs) support:
8. Distribute RFQ to the different stakeholders.
9. Gather data from relevant internal stakeholders during the tender management process.
10. Focus on deadlines (internal and external (customer)) and follow up with stakeholders.
11. Follow RFQ pricing strategy.
12. Complete the RFQ submission, present to main stakeholder for review & submission.
