Context And Mission
DARE European Supercomputing Project – the DARE Digital Workspace Manager will be responsible for the configuration and user access management of the DARE SharePoint Collaborative Working Space, supporting the DARE PMO, and administering mailing lists and other software tools required for project management.
Key Duties
Configuring and setting up users, permissions, and groups in DARE SharePoint and Office 365
Providing technical support both in‑person and remotely, resolving incidents such as access or login issues
Document recovery – restoring accidentally deleted files or previous versions
Permission issues – fixing broken inheritance or incorrect user roles
Integration support – ensuring SharePoint works smoothly with Microsoft 365 apps (e.g., Teams, Outlook)
Monitoring & maintenance – checking site health, storage usage and performance
User training & guidance – helping DARE users understand how to use SharePoint effectively
Security & compliance checks – protecting data and ensuring compliance with company policies
Managing regular backups of information stored in DARE SharePoint
Updating mailing lists of the DARE project
Providing training within PMID on IT tools managed by this position
Collaborating to improve the operation of PMID by sharing best practices
Requirements
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or Formación Profesional de Grado Superior en Informática)
Microsoft certification for SharePoint – a plus
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
Experience with setting up and maintaining a large‑scale SharePoint Server
1–3 years of experience in technical support and Microsoft systems, especially Office 365 and SharePoint
Knowledge of user administration and permissions in SharePoint Online Cloud and On‑Premises, including integration with Microsoft 365, OneDrive and Teams
Ability to configure applications, devices and manage common incidents in Microsoft environments (Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, Intune)
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate or SharePoint Server certifications are highly valued
Previous system management experience preferred
Experience working in a multi‑national, multi‑disciplinary environment
Fluency in English essential

Autonomy, responsibility and professional attitude to collaborate with other IT areas
Ability to document solutions or issues and communicate technical information to end users
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Conditions
Position located at BSC within the Directors Department
Full‑time contract (37.5 h/week), flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support for relocation procedures
Open‑ended contract duration due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project
Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus applicable holiday dates per the collective agreement
Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
Start date: 16 November 2025

Curriculum Analysis – 40 points
Interview phase – 60 points (minimum 30 points out of 60 required)
