Main responsibilities :
* Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies for power conversion equipment components
* Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
* Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
* Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
* Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
* Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
* Assess, manage, and mitigate risks
* Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
* Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Requirements :
* Master’s degree in electrical engineering (or similar), supply chain management or a related field
* Excellent English language skills and Spanish is a strong plus, other languages are a plus
* 10+ years experience in purchasing in this area
* Proven working experience as a Purchasing Manager in the high power conversion / high power electrical equipment manufacturing industries
* Interest in market dynamics along with a business sense
* A knack for negotiation and networking
* Ability to gather and analyze data and work with figures
* Solid judgement along with decision making skills
* Available to travel 10%-30% of working time
