The Opportunity
We are looking for an R&D; Validation and Certification Engineer to join our Product Development team. In this role, you will contribute to the validation, testing, and commissioning of advanced power conversion systems used in energy storage and photovoltaic applications. You will work in a modern laboratory environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary R&D; team to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance from concept to certification.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform commissioning tasks for power conversion and control systems interfacing with energy storage systems in the laboratory.
- Conduct technical analysis of logs, errors, signals, and metrics, generating clear and reusable reports to support engineering, quality, and certification processes.
- Study system stability and response to electrical transients (e.g. voltage dips, frequency disturbances, fault conditions, and power oscillation damping).
- Analyze specifications and requirements for electronic equipment under development.
- Simulate and debug control algorithms, ensuring compliance with grid codes.
- Participate in the definition of validation strategies, test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
- Execute validation tests both in the factory and in the field for prototype power conversion systems.
- Ensure full test traceability, from requirement definition to final reporting.
- Perform proof-of-concept validation of hardware and software components.
- Support component approval and product certification processes.
- Prepare validation reports and technical documentation.
- Develop and implement test automation solutions, including Python-based tools where applicable.
Your Background
- BSc in Engineering or equivalent (minimum requirement).
- Solid experience in the design of electrical systems and power electronics converters and their control.
- Experience in validation of electronic products and/or embedded software, including laboratory test bench.
