Headquartered in Plymouth, Michigan, outside of Detroit, LINK maintains testing laboratories, manufacturing, and support facilities around the globe: As the Vehicle Test Technician, you are responsible for setting up, conducting, and assisting in the analysis of a vehicle test to ensure data meets design specifications established by customers.
Knowledge of the basics of Passenger Car, Light Truck, and Vehicle Brake Systems.
Understanding physical measurements of test components (rotors & brake pads).
Startup of Data Acquisition equipment, including 3802 & VMAX.
Install and troubleshoot Data Acquisition equipment, basic sensors, and thermocouples on a vehicle.
Monitor tests in progress to ensure they are running to specification.
Ensure test results are complete and accurate.
Assist with test activities and question specifications for new tests.
Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in automotive testing or related work experience.
Understanding of basic and analog & temperature data preferred.
Technical aptitude to form hypotheses, verify test methods, draw conclusions, and communicate results effectively. xcskxlj
Ability to bring projects to completion in a timely and efficient manner.
Basic Microsoft Office and English language knowledge
