ABOUT THE ROLE
\n
As a Backend Engineer, you will help design and scale high-performance systems that power a modern Ads platform, handling large volumes of real‑time data. You’ll work closely with product and data teams to build reliable services and APIs that directly impact campaign performance and business outcomes. This role offers strong ownership, exposure to distributed systems, and the opportunity to grow your architectural skills in a fast-paced, product‑driven environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
\n
Architect, build and evolve core systems for the Ads platform;
\n
Design APIs and services supporting campaign management, targeting, delivery, attribution and reporting;
\n
Build and optimize high‑throughput, low‑latency systems processing large volumes of events and data;
\n
Own critical systems end‑to‑end, including design, implementation, deployment, monitoring and ongoing improvements;
\n
Drive architectural decisions and establish patterns that support scalability, reliability and developer productivity;
\n
Collaborate closely with product, data and partner teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions;
\n
Provide technical leadership through design reviews, system discussions and mentoring other engineers;
\n
Contribute to engineering best practices, documentation and long‑term platform vision;
\n
Participate in hiring and help grow a strong, high‑performing team.
\n
MUST HAVES
\n
3–4 years of software development experience building scalable systems;
\n
Experience with AdTech ;
\n
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
\n
(algorithms, data structures, networking, databases);
\n
Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems focusing on performance, observability and fault tolerance;
\n
Experience with
\n
Python / Django or other backend programming languages;
\n
Experience with
\n
Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and AWS ;
\n
Strong architectural instincts and ability to make high‑impact technical decisions;
\n
Ability to mentor engineers and guide teams through ambiguity;
\n
Strong ownership mindset with ability to drive initiatives and deliver impact;
\n
Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills;
\n
Comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑autonomy, product‑driven environment;
\n
Upper‑intermediate English level .
\n
NICE TO HAVES
\n
Experience with e‑commerce and catalog management;
\n
Familiarity with Python, Django, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, AWS or similar technologies;
\n
Strong experience with complex ETL flows and high‑throughput systems.
