Role Overview: MDM architect is responsible for managing, governing master data activities from architecture perspective and provide consulting support for MDM operational activities from architecture standpoint. We do manage master data across systems but primarily it is S4 and Semarchy. MDM architect would be supporting SAP CoE as well as MDM team.
Responsibilities
* Steward for master data design in incident & sprint reviews, changes, cross-function topics, operations call. Support business scenario, situations and propose the solution and consulting
* Writing the SCR document: business request and description
* Preparing the MDM CAB, xCAB and PGB material in alignment with business functions who have raised the topic
* Manage Master data governance agenda / priorities. Review backlog list, add topics based on business reviews and business challenges, analyze strategic fit, prioritize and route for implementation. Follow-up implementation and communicate to business on its progress
* Collaborate with different business functions on master data management to provide a synergy in MDM operations, supporting NPI/GLE team for timely master data creation and maintenance to avoid any product launches due to master data bottleneck.
* Support business in consulting and driving focus on data quality and ways to track, monitor and improve it in due course
* E2E Master Data Governance: In BAU mode this is mainly about defending the MD model, the single source of truth points etc. There are regular challenges and requests for exceptions that need to work through a better way to achieve the business outcome whilst adhering to MDM concepts and design. Once the new ERP strategy is out for other regions, the MDM architect would also provide consulting so that Genesis (Current ERP) and future ERP processes can closely work from MDM perspective
