About The Role

We seek a talented and committed Upper School Drama Teacher to join our thriving international community at ELIS Murcia. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop Drama across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and achieve academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

* Deliver engaging, high-quality Drama lessons to students aged 11–18, preparing them for IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
* Direct and produce school performances and co-curricular productions, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents.
* Embed the ELIS Murcia Values — Respect, Care, Perseverance, Honesty, and Kindness — into all aspects of teaching, learning, and wider school life.
* Use assessment data effectively to monitor student progress, providing timely support and challenge to maximise individual potential.
* Promote student wellbeing and resilience, contributing to the delivery of the Cognita Be Well Charter.
* Play an active role in the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, events, and enrichment opportunities.

Who we are looking for :

Candidate Profile :

* A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies or a related discipline, and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
* Proven experience of teaching Drama successfully at secondary school level, with experience preparing students for external examinations.
* A commitment to holistic education, nurturing both the academic progress and personal development of each student.
* Passion, creativity, and a growth mindset, with the ability to inspire students and colleagues alike.
* A collaborative and flexible approach, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
