We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Power Platform Solution Architect (h/m/d) to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform. This role will play a strategic part in defining scalable and secure architectures aligned with business goals, collaborating with stakeholders, IT leaders, and development teams to drive innovation and digital transformation.
A Power Platform solution architect is responsible for designing, architecting, and overseeing the implementation of end-to-end solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Dataverse). They bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the platform is used effectively and strategically within an organization.
Key Responsibilities:
The main key responsibilities are:
1. Solution Design and Architecture:
- Conceptualizing Solutions:
- Designing the overall architecture of Power Platform solutions, considering various components like Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
- Technical Strategy:
- Defining the technical approach for building and deploying solutions, including integrations with other systems and services.
- Data Modelling:
- Designing the data model within Dataverse or other data sources to ensure efficient and scalable data storage and retrieval.
- Security Modelling:
- Implementing security measures to protect data and applications, adhering to organizational policies and industry best practices.
- Integration Planning:
- Designing how Power Platform solutions will integrate with other systems, including other Microsoft services (like Azure) and third-party applications.
2. Implementation and Governance:
- Guiding Development:
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to development teams during the implementation phase.
- Code Reviews:
- Ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices through code reviews.
- Testing and Deployment:
- Managing testing procedures and deployment strategies to ensure smooth and reliable releases.
- Project Governance:
- Establishing and maintaining project governance processes to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
3. Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Requirement Gathering:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Communication:
- Effectively communicating technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Relationship Building:
- Building strong relationships with business leaders, developers, and other IT teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
4. Staying Current:
- Platform Expertise: Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the Power Platform and its capabilities.
- Staying Updated: Keeping abreast of the latest Power Platform updates, features, and best practices.
- Thought Leadership: Providing thought leadership on new and emerging Microsoft solutions related to the Power Platform.
In essence, a Power Platform Solution Architect acts as a technical leader and trusted technical advisor, ensuring that Power Platform solutions are well-designed, effectively implemented, and deliver significant value to the organization.
Technical Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise solution delivery using Microsoft Power Platform.
- Proven experience in cloud solution architecture with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong expertise in Dataverse, Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Hands-on experience with ALM, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform.
- Experience in Dynamics 365 CE/CRM projects (desirable).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, security, API integrations, Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps.
- In-depth knowledge of Power Platform and licensing models
Certifications (Required / Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect (required).
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect expert (preferred).
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (preferred).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)
