Job Description:
AkensNordburg is looking for a Business Development Manager (m/f) for an international company that develops and commercializes trenchless systems to liaise with water network operators, engineering firms, and contractors. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing engineered solutions for the trenchless renovation of pressure pipes in Spain and Portugal. The successful candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in Business Development within the trenchless industry in Spain/Portugal. They should possess a strong technical background in the construction industry and have cultural sensitivity to communicate effectively with all stakeholders of rehabilitation projects. The position reports directly to the “Director Business Development Europe” based in Germany.
Key responsibilities include:
* Educate network operators and engineering firms about trenchless rehabilitation
* Provide engineering support for design, project planning, scheduling, and execution of pressure pipe rehab projects
* Create technical specifications and quotations in collaboration with the Head Office
* Assist network operators and contractors during all phases of rehab projects, including on-site supervisory support
* Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and road shows
* Identify channels to promote products and meet sales targets
* Manage certified partners within the territory
Preferred qualifications:
* Civil Engineer (or related) with at least 5 years of experience in trenchless rehabilitation of pipes
* Strong communication skills to liaise with engineering firms, contractors, and network operators
* Proven sales record in the construction industry
* Fluent in Spanish and English;
Portuguese desirable
* Structured, analytical, self-motivated, and result-oriented
* Willingness to travel within Spain and Portugal
* Demonstrated loyalty and integrity
Place of work:
The candidate will work remotely, preferably in Madrid or nearby, with regular travel within Spain and Portugal. Occasional travel to the head office in Germany for meetings.
