In this role you will serve as a subject-matter expert for EMEA lease datacenter engineering, ensuring mechanical designs meet Microsoft requirements. You will review, analyze, and coordinate complex DC mechanical systems, controls, and topology across large-scale projects. You’ll lead design reviews, guide vendor SMEs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive compliant, high-performance datacenter facilities. This is a mission-driven opportunity to shape scalable infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud services.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Design review of Lease DC mechanical infrastructure for buildouts, retrofits and upgrades
• Lead and coordinate mechanical reviews with vendor SMEs and stakeholders
• Ensure design compliance with Microsoft requirements across facilities
• Collaborate with Global Strategy, Mechanical Team and Lease providers to develop requirements and topology
• Assist Operations with solutioning and implementation, including commissioning and validation
• Provide status updates to program managers and resolve construction issues
• Coordinate with global technical excellence and local engineering teams for project-specific solutions
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects and manage planning under pressure
Responsabilidades
• Senior mechanical engineer with extensive data center experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling, fire protection, plumbing, xpzdshu fuel systems, liquid cooling and BAS/BMS
• Experience designing, constructing, operating or maintaining large-scale mechanical systems
• Excellent communication and attention to detail; high quality standards
• Ability to lead a team of subject matter experts and work with multiple stakeholders
• CFD analysis experience and mechanical engineering software familiarity
• Experience with ground-up, greenfield and brownfield site development
