We’re looking for a Database & System Administrator (DBA) to join our IT team in Barcelona.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing IT services by combining strong database administration skills with solid systems administration expertise across both Linux and Windows environments.

What will you do?
Database Administration
 * Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases in on-premise and cloud environments.
 * Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, AlwaysOn, streaming replication).
 * Plan and execute installations, upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.
 * Perform backup, recovery, and performance tuning to ensure optimal reliability and efficiency.
 * Manage database security, user access, and auditing processes.
Systems Administration
 * Manage Linux and Windows servers hosting critical database and application workloads.
 * Perform system monitoring, patching, configuration, and hardening to maintain stability and security.
 * Collaborate with infrastructure teams on virtualization, storage, and networking requirements.
 * Automate operational tasks using Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting.
 * Contribute to cloud infrastructure operations (Azure, Oracle Cloud) with a focus on hybrid environments.
Operational Excellence
 * Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes following ITIL standards.
 * Document and maintain system and database configurations and procedures.
 * Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database and system-related incidents.
 * Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 operational support.
 * Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, Networking, and Application teams .
What are we looking for?
Your professional background:
 * 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise environments.
 * Strong expertise in Oracle Database (12c/19c or newer) and solid experience with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL .
 * Experience administering Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux) and Windows Server systems.
 * Understanding of cloud database services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
 * Hands-on experience with HA/DR, performance tuning, and database monitoring tools (OEM, Grafana, Prometheus).
 * Familiarity with automation and IaC practices (Terraform, Ansible).
 * Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are highly valued.
 * Fluent in English (spoken and written).
