Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on CRO Specialist to improve performance for our DTC ecommerce clients by optimizing the full path from ad click → landing page → product page → cart → checkout. You’ll own website experiment strategy and execution, partnering with creative + performance teams to turn traffic into revenue through better UX, stronger messaging, and faster iteration.
This role is ideal if you’ve built and shipped dozens of experiments on Shopify (and/or similar ecommerce platforms) and can translate analytics into practical changes that lift conversion rate, AOV, and purchase intent.
What you’ll do
* Audit customer journeys and identify the biggest conversion leaks (landing pages, PDPs, cart, checkout)
* Develop and execute an experiment roadmap (A/B tests, multivariate tests, iterative UX improvements)
* Improve core ecommerce fundamentals: page speed, clarity, trust, offer presentation, mobile UX, merchandising
* Build / improve landing pages and storefront elements (Shopify themes, sections, page builders as needed)
* Analyze funnels: clicks → sessions → add-to-cart → checkout → purchase, and recommend changes backed by data
* Work closely with performance + creative teams to align ad-to-site message match (hooks, offers, social proof)
* Produce weekly reporting: experiments run, learnings, wins/losses, next bets, estimated impact
What success looks like
* Increasing CVR, ATC rate, checkout completion, and revenue per session
* Faster testing velocity with clear documentation and learnings
* Noticeable improvements in mobile usability and page speed
* Stronger offer clarity and trust elements that reduce friction and improve purchase confidence
Requirements
* 2+ years of hands-on CRO for ecommerce / DTC (agency or in-house)
* Strong Shopify experience (themes/sections, Liquid basics or strong page-builder proficiency)
* Experience with analytics + experimentation tools (examples: GA4, Shopify analytics, Hotjar, PostHog, VWO, Optimizely, Convert, etc.)
* Strong UX + copy instincts (clarity, trust, persuasion, offer framing)
* Comfortable shipping: you can implement changes yourself or coordinate developers efficiently
* Excellent written communication: you can explain why a change matters and what the data says
Nice to have
* Checkout extensibility / Shopify Plus experience
* Strong technical chops: HTML/CSS/JS, Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals
* Experience with landing page builders (Replo, Shogun, PageFly, Gempages, Unbounce, Webflow)
* Familiarity with DTC testing frameworks (prioritization, power, guardrails, statistical basics)
* Experience with subscription flows, bundles, post-purchase upsells, and AOV levers
