About the RoleAs part of our commitment to continuous improvement and executing our Digital Lifestyle strategy, this role will manage the technical and functional bridge between tax assurance processes and tools within each OpCo and at HQ. Key objectives include:
Supporting the management of Tax Reporting procedures and deliverables to ensure high quality and timely outputs.
Assisting in implementing standardized and improved tax reporting processes across the group to foster cross-functional and technical synergies.
Being responsible for the accuracy of tax figures reported internally and externally, with a clear understanding of their detailed composition.
Supporting change management and stakeholder alignment by promoting a culture of tax operational excellence.
You will add value by collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality project execution, taking responsibility for end-to-end processes to meet overall objectives.
Responsibilities
Managing Group Tax Reporting deliverables to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Reviewing OpCo deliverables and requesting clarifications or adjustments as needed.
Overseeing tax-related disclosures and statements.
Implementing improved tax reporting solutions across the group.
Standardizing local tax reporting processes within each OpCo, providing Millicom-specific templates and tools.
Supporting other departments (e.G., Accounting, Financial Planning) with tax issues arising from routine and non-routine transactions.
Communicating group highlights to key stakeholders throughout the year.
Serving as the primary contact for relevant tax matters for OpCo tax managers.
Ensuring SOX compliance across OpCos, Group, and HQ entities by managing process improvements.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in a regional or HQ tax team, advising multinational groups on tax reporting.
Ability to influence remote stakeholders and work with distributed teams.
Experience in developing and implementing policies and guidelines.
Experience with Tax digitalization solutions is advantageous.
Required Skills
Proficiency with financial and accounting systems such as Oracle eBS, HFM, SAP;
certifications are a plus.
Strong knowledge of finance and tax concepts, including international tax, IFRS, US GAAP, and IAS 12;
certifications are a plus.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
