- **Envisaged Job Starting Date**:March 2025A postdoctoral position is available at CIC biomaGUNE/Bottom-up cell biology and bioengineering Lab focused on the mechanistic understanding of peptidoglycan synthesis.
- Do you think you can enjoy playing Lego with dynamic molecules? If yes, consider joining the **Bottom-up Cell Biology Lab** at CIC biomaGUNE for a PhD project in biochemistry/bacterial cell biology and bioengineering (microfluidics). In this project, **you will rebuild in vitro peptidoglycan synthesis machinery to explore the mechanisms of peptidoglycan synthesis and search for novel efficient inhibitors.**
Our group has expertise in bottom-up reconstitution in bacterial cell biology. We employ approaches covering advanced protein biochemistry and reconstitution of transmembrane proteins on polymer-supported lipid membranes. To access molecular interactions, we use a range of surface-sensitive biophysical techniques and single-molecule tracking microscopy.
We are young and newly established group looking for excellent, highly motivated, and scientifically curious members. We are also highly committed to ensuring that every team member receives individual support and training and enjoys their time in the lab.
