Join us and reach your higher purpose at Cargill.Job Purpose and ImpactAs VAT Manager Spain & Portugal, you will be part of the VAT Advisory Team and responsible for Spanish and Portuguese VAT matters. The role involves performing data analytics, managing VAT-related business processes, and further developing the Tax Control Framework. The Tax team for this region is based in St Gugat, Spain. Flexible work arrangements can be considered, although regular office visits are expected.Key AccountabilitiesManage the VAT position of Cargill entities in Spain & Portugal, including advising on VAT matters, managing VAT registrations, monitoring business changes, and handling tax audits.Coordinate information provision during audits, research tax issues, identify risks, and perform analytics to find inconsistencies.Participate in tax and business projects, advising on system changes, reorganizations, and project implementation.Advise on VAT implications of daily business transactions.Improve business and finance processes to enhance the control framework.Handle complex issues independently, escalating only the most challenging cases.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsAt least 4 years of relevant experience, typically 5 or more.Fluent in Spanish and English.Up-to-date with VAT legislation changes.Ability to communicate complex VAT concepts to non-tax specialists.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, or equivalent experience.Ability to work independently.Our OfferWe offer a dynamic international environment that challenges your abilities and nurtures your talents.
