Description: The transportation and Foreign Trade Specialist is responsible for managing the import, export and international transportation carrier networks, preparing all the information and reports needed for the proper import/export of the products, including the information needed for the Electronic Value Manifest.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Shipment tracking
* Spot quotes review and negotiation
* D365 transportation transactions
* Carrier relationship management
* Transportation Mode selection for import lanes
* Expert on Incoterms
* Cost analysis by lane, service level, or mode
* Lane management data collection
* Communication with carriers for day to day shipment intervention/trouble shooting
* Periodic transportation and shipment reports
* Lane management summaries – history of transit times by lane, mode and volume
* Partner with cross functional teams including but not limited to shipping, receiving, procurement, compliance etc. to continuously improve the delivery of products
* Partner with the Planning and Procurement and vendors contacts
* Creation of Purchase Requisitions for Logistics, transportation and warehousing services. Manage approvals
* Monthly shipment accruals
* Carrier Performance Review
* Conduct external benchmarking of import/export best practices
* Consult Compliance Issues with internal/external SME's
* Develops and maintains expertise on import/export networks and regulations
* Works with Corporate Legal, Security and Regulatory Affairs
Requirements:
Bachelor on Business Management, International Commerce, Logistics, Engineering or related areas.
Min 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Procurement
Experience managing import, export and domestic transportation management
Effective negotiation skills
Highly proficient in Excel including pivot tables, PowerPoint and Word
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
Knowledge on trade compliance regulations and NOMs
English: Business Level
Experience or understanding of Manufacturing and Order-To-Cash (OTC) business operations, product line management, procurement, pricing, account/record provisioning (i.e. materials, customers, and vendors)
Goal Oriented and teamwork
Strong Knowledge of INCOTERMS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both, English and Spanish
