In this role you will lead MAHLE’s global R&D teams for eBike drive systems and the connected digital ecosystem, aligning targets with Product Management and delivering end-to-end development across mechanical, electrical, and software domains. You drive strategy, governance, and portfolio management while ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and industrialization. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners to accelerate co-development with OEMs and suppliers, shaping the future of eBike propulsion and digital services. This is a high-impact leadership role at a global, multi-site scale with a strong focus on ownership and accountability.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Coordinate global R&D teams across multiple sites with clear decision rights and transparent cadence
• Set R&D targets with Product Management and manage end-to-end development for all product lines and the digital platform
• Oversee Systems Engineering rigor and cross-domain integration (mechanical, electronics, embedded software, mobile, cloud)
• Lead APQP, sourcing, change management, risk metrics, and on-time PPAP delivery
• Ensure regulatory, EMC, and safety compliance and robust validation with RCCA for 0-km and field claims
• Govern co-development, IP protection, and quality gates with OEMs and strategic partners
• Own R&D budget, resource/workload planning, and industrialization supporting ramp-up
• Steer supplier quality and multi-location collaboration with MAHLE production facilities and external partners

• Mix of Bicycle and Automotive industry experience
• International multi-site leadership experience
• Electronics & Mechatronics expertise for e-drives: e-machine design, power electronics/inverter, embedded control, sensors, BMS, thermal management, NVH
• Strategy, Innovation, and Development capabilities
• 10+ years of experience
• Fluent in English; Spanish optional
