About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Labelling & Regulatory Compliance (LRC) Manager to lead regulatory and quality excellence across our NEDM and CEEMEA clusters.
This is a dynamic, hybrid role that combines regulatory expertise, people leadership, and food safety & quality (FSQ) management within General Mills' international distributor model. You'll lead a team of regulatory specialists and partner cross-functionally to ensure our products meet local regulatory requirements while upholding the highest standards of food safety, quality, and brand protection.
In addition to regional responsibilities, you'll also serve as the Global Program Lead for Distributor Governance, helping strengthen risk management and operational excellence across our global distributor network.
This role offers the opportunity to operate at the intersection of regulation, quality, and business strategy, influencing how General Mills products are brought to market across diverse international regions.
What Your Role Is
Regulatory Compliance & Labelling Leadership
* Lead the development, review, and maintenance of accurate food labelling information, including allergens, nutrition facts, ingredient statements, product names, and claims.
* Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and General Mills global standards across the NEDM and CEEMEA regions.
* Monitor regulatory developments and proactively communicate updates, risks, and opportunities to cross-functional teams.
* Act as the FSQ-LRC subject matter expert, partnering with functions including Export Compliance, Government Relations, Legal, Nutrition, and Central FSQ.
* Provide regulatory and food safety support for new business opportunities and product launches within distributor markets.
* Coach and mentor regulatory specialists and cross-functional partners on distributor compliance processes.
* Support issue resolution and ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
Food Safety & Quality Program Oversight
* Serve as the Internal Quality Champion for the region, influencing teams across the business to drive continuous improvement in food safety and quality.
* Support implementation of General Mills Food Safety & Quality policies and standards, including training and compliance management.
* Facilitate distributor consumer complaint programs, including reporting, root cause analysis, and resolution.
* Represent ITQ in business performance processes (PEAK meetings) and ensure alignment across functions.
Global Distributor Governance
* Lead the global Distributor Governance program, building frameworks and overseeing annual risk reduction activities across the distributor network.
* Support new and existing distributors to ensure compliance with distribution, storage, and product handling requirements.
* Provide guidance during product issues, including recall, donation, and destruction processes where required.
What You Bring to the Team
You hold a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline, along with 7+ years of experience in Food Safety, Quality, or Regulatory Compliance. You bring strong knowledge of food labelling and regulatory requirements across Europe and MEA markets, combined with experience leading, mentoring, or developing teams.
You are an effective communicator who can influence and collaborate with a range of stakeholders and functions, often in complex international environments. With strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement, you\'re able to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive progress in a dynamic business setting. You are also comfortable working across global teams and distributor networks, and occasionally travelling to connect with these teams.
