Job Purpose
The Vueling Engineering and Maintenance is currently recruiting for a Powerplant Engi-neer to join their team based on our Barcelona office. The role will be a multi-functional role responsible for Engine, APUs and/or Nacelle technical control and management. You will report to the Head of Powerplant & CAMO Standards under the responsibility of the CAMO.
Main Accountabilities
* Support the management and process borescope inspections performed on Vueling engines/APUs/Nacelle.
* Support the management and process the Engine Health Monitoring alerts.
* Support the continuous improvement and maintainability of department controls.
* Write new and revisions of maintenance tasks.
* Analysis of technical optional documents such as Service Bulletins, as well as their configuration within the maintenance control system.
* Analysis of technical mandatory documents such as Airworthiness Directives, as well as their configuration within the control system.
* Creation of workscopes for external repair of engines/APUs/Nacelles.
* Manage external repair of engines/APUs/Nacelles.
* Support the revision and approval of invoices related to engine/APU/Nacelle maintenance.
* Management of department and company project development.
* Oversight on the execution of engine replacement within the maintenance control system.
* Support the creation of removal plans for engines/nacelles/APUs.
* Manage engine/APU/Nacelle related campaigns.
* Manage delivery and redelivery of aircraft/engines.
* Manage authority aircraft inspection procedures and airworthiness renewals
* Support other departments on strategic projects and decisions.
* Support continuous improvement projects within the department.
* Interaction with several internal departments such as MOC, Planning, Heavy Maintenance, Quality, Safety, among others.
* Interaction with several external contacts such as line and heavy maintenance providers, engine manufacturers, aircraft manufacturer, repair stations, among others.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education
* Engineering Degree in Technical Field.
Experience
* At least 4 years of working experience in Airline/Powerplant Engineering department.
Competencies
* Technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance and its manuals.
* Technical knowledge of aircraft engines and its manuals.
* Familiarity with aircraft engine industry standards and common processes.
* Familiarity with authority regulation, preferably EASA.
* Must have good communication skills, both in-person and by electronic means.
* Ability to work with no supervision in a collaborative team and multi-cultural envi-ronment.
* Strong attention to detail and quality of performed work.
* Ability to navigate in multi-tasking situations and deliver results to tight timelines.
* Willingness to support off-hour airline operational requirements
* Computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Software Programs [Word, Excel]
