As part of the expansion of its European natural gas trading activities, Icosium Investment is launching its Gas Trading Desk and is seeking an experienced professional to lead its development.Position: Natural Gas TraderWe are looking for an experienced Natural Gas Trader with strong expertise in European gas markets, particularly the Spanish market, to join our team and help establish and develop our gas trading desk. The selected candidate will initially operate as the sole trader responsible for building the desk, with additional hires planned during the year as trading volumes increase.Key Responsibilities• Develop and manage natural gas trading activities across European markets • Trade across European gas hubs, including MIBGAS, TTF, PEG, and others • Identify and execute trading opportunities in both spot and forward markets • Develop relationships with producers, utilities, brokers, and trading counterparties • Structure and negotiate gas supply and offtake agreements • Monitor market fundamentals such as storage levels, LNG flows, pipeline flows, and weather patterns • Implement the operational processes and tools required to build the trading desk • Contribute to defining the group's gas trading strategy • Participate in building the future trading team as volumes growCandidate Profile• Significant experience in European natural gas trading • Strong knowledge of European gas hubs and market mechanisms • Experience with the Spanish gas market (MIBGAS) is highly desirable • Existing network of counterparties within the European gas market • Strong analytical skills and market understanding • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate autonomously • Experience contributing to the development of a trading activity or desk is a strong advantageSkills• Spot and forward gas trading • Market analysis and fundamentals • Risk management and position optimization • Contract negotiation • Understanding of LNG and pipeline gas marketsLanguages• English (professional level required) • Spanish strongly preferred • French is a plusWhat We Offer• A unique opportunity to build and lead a natural gas trading desk • A strategic role with strong growth potential • Direct involvement in the expansion of an international energy platform • A dynamic and entrepreneurial working environmentApplicationsPlease send your CV to: amin@icosiuminvestment.com
