We are looking for an Operations Director (Head of RoRo Operations) to lead terminal activities in Spain, overseeing both RoRo and general cargo operations within a highly advanced environment focused on automation, digitalization, and and forward‐looking operating model..

Your mission
You will hold full responsibility for terminal operations, leading teams and ensuring the highest standards in safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service. Working closely with a team of managers, you will drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across all activities.
Key responsibilities
* Drive a proactive safety culture with the objective of achieving a zero-incident workplace
* Ensure full compliance with customer and brand quality requirements
* Optimize productivity, resource utilization, and operational KPIs
* Monitor financial performance and ensure cost control across operations
* Lead and maintain effective labour relations with dock workers and their representatives
* Coach and develop managers and foster strong leadership presence on the work floor
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, port authorities, and key stakeholders
* Translate company strategy into concrete operational actions at terminal level
What we are looking for
* Proven experience in a senior operations management role within port, terminal, stevedoring, or similar logistics environments
* Experience in RoRo operations is a strong advantage
* Strong safety and quality mindset with a customer-focused approach
* Solid financial acumen and cost awareness
* Excellent leadership and people development skills
* Fluency in Spanish and English

ICO Spain has been awarded a 27-year concession to build and operate a new public vehicle terminal at the Port of Barcelona. Covering over 101,000 m2 and expected to handle up to 180,000 vehicles annually from 2028, the terminal will focus on imports, especially electric vehicles from the Far East, and will feature state-of-the-art automation, electric handling equipment, and solar power generation, reinforcing the Port of Barcelona as a key automotive hub in Europe. This new project strengthens ICO's footprint in the Mediterranean, complementing its terminals in Yarimca (Turkey) and East Port Said (Egypt).
