**Job Description Summary**: The Core Commodity Leader will be responsible for supporting the Global Commodity Leader in defining and executing the global strategy for the core commodity. This will include commercial and operational deliverables to ensure the core commodity is sourced to the best landed cost with best in class quality and on time delivery. The core commodity strategy will be used to support all GE Vernova global internal blade factories and LM blade factories.The position will also support the regional sourcing team for the internal blade factories in the EU region.**Roles and Responsibilities**- Drive cost out projects with suppliers and cross functional teams targeted at achieving annual budgets and year over year savings.- Collaborate with global supporting resources (engineering, product line, quality, supply chain, and regional teams) to achieve safety, quality and delivery schedule and maximize best landed cost.- Work with suppliers and Core Global Commodity Manager to drive innovative cost out and increased output and supply flexibility.- Support material flow for new blades, developing supply strategies to ensure products are launched on schedule.- Manage the regional supplier performance and implementation of direct material sourcing strategy in alignment with the integral commodity managers.- Lead commercial negotiations with regional suppliers.- Interact with factory buyers to ensure need by dates for materials are met and help solve supply chain problems when necessary and prevent factory downtime.- Ensure correct pricing is fed to multiple factory IT systems for the EU region.- Develop and manage EU regional inbound logistic processes (Customs & Freight Forwarding) in line with production plan requirement.**Required Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.- Minimum 6 years Supply Chain or, Commodity Management experience, or leading cross functional or engineering program teams.- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required, estimated at 10%, for negotiation with suppliers, supply chain risk mitigation efforts and local support to plant teams.**Desired Characteristics**- Strong oral and written communication skills.- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.- Established project management skills.- Ability to work cross functionally to drive results.- Sourcing and contract experience**Additional Information**:GE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
