Role Purpose
To assist the Commercial Controller in managing all aspects of the FBA&P function within associated contracts, providing the necessary information and service to the site, colleagues, and customers. This role supports the FBA&P function to ensure timely payments to carriers and billing to customers, overseeing freight spend reconciliations, and completing month-end trading processes with valid accruals. It also involves maintaining financial cost controls with support from the FBA&P Assistant Finance Managers.
Key Accountabilities
* Evaluate customer freight contracts, providing insights into financials and analyzing high-volume data.
* Manage freight purchasing and sales ledger, including PO management on Oracle and control of open shipments in TMS.
* Support accurate and timely billing analysis to customers and resolve queries.
* Proactively hedge currency risks.
* Develop tools to enhance financial visibility.
* Ensure all balance sheet entries are accurate and backed up.
* Support business partnering activities.
* Assist the Financial Controller in daily operations across multiple sites, currencies, and platforms, including invoicing and reporting.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
* Manage carrier payments, customer debt, and cash allocation processes.
* Deputize for Assistant Finance Managers when required.
* Coach stakeholders on FBA&P matters.
Mandatory Requirements
* Degree-level education.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels.
* Fluent in English and local language.
* Experience with P&L, General Ledger accounts, and intercompany reporting.
* Knowledge of OTM system.
* Ability to work in detail and at a high level.
* Experience with multi-country and multi-currency operations.
* Strong IT skills, especially MS Excel.
* Analytical and numerical skills.
* Excellent organization and planning skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
* Supportive of the Senior Finance Controller at the site.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
