Software Development Engineer-II, Amazon
Amazon.Com is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Software Development Engineer to join the Digital Acceleration team. The Digital Acceleration team owns services supporting the publishing, pricing and purchase of Digital content, including Kindle Books, Amazon AppStore, Amazon Music, Amazon Video, etc.
This candidate will be joining a team working on scalable web services using cloud technologies and offers opportunity to work on Gen-AI LLM technology. The work will be highly visible to Amazon customers and internal stakeholders.
As a Software Development Engineer, this person will lead the architecture and development of high-scale web services and workflows. A successful candidate will have an established background in designing and developing back-end web services, strong technical skills, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, high creativity, and great analytical reasoning skills.
Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and development of high-scale web services and workflows for digital content services. Design and develop back-end web services with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-impact features. Apply cloud technologies and explore Gen-AI LLM opportunities to enhance services.
Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
* 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
* Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
