We became a listed company in the BME Growth in 2022, which has implied a significant expansion of our activities, which is why we are currently looking for a Legal Intern to participate in all regulatory and legal obligations associated with our status as a publicly listed company.
Role Description
As a Legal Intern at Axon Partners Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to regulatory and legal standards. Your responsibilities will encompass fund and investor compliance, adherence to our Code of Ethics and Conduct, preventing money laundering (AML), and much more.
You will be part of the Internal Corporate Services (ICS) team, reporting directly to the Head of Legal & Compliance and collaborating closely with the senior management of our Investment Team.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide assistance in the supervision of regulatory alignment and compliance across the company and its investment vehicles.
* Participate in external compliance audits and regulatory reporting processes.
* Analyze and understand regulations, guidelines and recommendations regarding Collective Investment Institutions (IIC), Venture Capital Entities (ECR), and stock market regulations applicable to the company's activities.
* Support the Legal & Compliance team in addressing compliance related matters and internal inquiries.
* Provide legal support to Axon's investment teams, helping ensure regulatory and legal requirements are met.
* Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of internal compliance policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
* Final year Law student or recent graduate.
* Previous work experience is not mandatory, although any internship or experience in legal, compliance, regulatory or corporate environments will be positively valued.
* Interest in Compliance, Corporate Law, Financial Regulation, Criminology or Data Protection will be considered a strong asset.
* Understanding of, or interest in, financial markets, investment vehicles and regulated financial services will be considered an asset.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
* Advanced level of English.
