The Role The
Project Director
will lead the delivery of major data centre construction projects across Europe. This position carries overall responsibility for project performance — ensuring safety, quality, cost control, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction from initiation to handover. The successful candidate will act as a senior leader within the delivery organisation, driving engineering standards, fostering collaboration, and ensuring consistent excellence across all project stages.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and direction to multi‑disciplinary project delivery teams.
Oversee engineering, design coordination, and construction performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and implement project planning, execution, and reporting frameworks.
Manage and monitor project budgets, schedules, manpower, and commissioning activities.
Establish best‑practice documentation and communication structures from project inception.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with quality and performance standards across all workstreams.
Drive operational excellence and innovation within project delivery processes.
About You You are an experienced construction leader with a deep technical background and a proven ability to manage complex, large‑scale projects. You thrive in dynamic, fast‑paced environments and are passionate about leading high‑performing teams to deliver excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in
Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
10+ years’ experience
managing large construction projects (€50M+).
Background in
data centre, industrial, infrastructure, pharmaceutical, or cleanroom
environments preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, stakeholders, and diverse project teams.
Strong knowledge of
commissioning, health & safety, and
quality management systems .
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work across multiple regions.
Flexibility to travel extensively or work on a rotational basis across European project sites.
