Position Overview
The scope of the role is to apply predictive maintenance procedures to the wind farms managed by Siemens Gamesa by monitoring the origin of emerging drivetrain issues and providing vibration monitoring predictive services to enable early detection of failures in main wind turbine components, thereby optimizing maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
1. Monitor SGRE wind turbines, focusing on failure indicators such as vibration and oil analysis.
2. Manage actions related to monitoring, including data collection, analysis, report creation, and tracking of preventive actions.
3. Support local maintenance teams with TCM, SMP issues, and monitoring unit malfunctions; ensure training and knowledge sharing within the SMP CC team; maintain SMP procedures; coordinate SMP CC activities; analyze data and faults; liaise with engineering for hardware/software development; provide vibration analysis support; update analysis models.
4. Assist in scheduling and prioritizing corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance based on vibration data analysis.
5. Identify root causes of mechanical problems, propose solutions considering cost, deadlines, and performance.
6. Suggest process improvements to align maintenance with operational realities and customer expectations.
Required Knowledge / Skills, Education, and Experience
* Minimum 2 years of vibration discipline experience solving machine problems via vibration analysis.
* ISO Category II Certification from an accredited provider.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with rotating equipment.
* Legal authorization to work in the United States; employer sponsorship not required.
Preferred Knowledge / Skills, Education, and Experience
* Cat I, II, or III Vibration Analyst certifications with corresponding experience.
* Experience with hand tools, CBM hardware/software like Bently Nevada, SKF, and online monitoring systems.
* Additional CBM technologies experience: laser alignment, thermography, NDT, lubricant analysis.
