Responsibilities
Understand and recognize the concept of the hotel.
Learning and understanding of the liquid concept of the different gastronomic universes integrated in our hotel and be able to verbally explain to our guests.
Ensure that the mise‐en‐place is followed shift by shift and during the service to provide an efficient service.
Learning and recognition of the different wines.
Knowledge and recommend the selection of wines by the glass.
Wine opening and service techniques.
Understanding, offering, and serving the different harmonies for the different menus of each of our restaurants.
Participate in the tastings that take place within the hotel for the selection of new wines.
Ability to provide a service by selling and offering new proposals to our guests to generate more income (appetizers, sweet wines, recommendations for second glasses...).
Collaborate in the organization and maintenance of the winery and different wine chambers.
Develop different tasks related to the outlet in which you are assigned by the Head Sommelier.
Taking reservations accurately where necessary while keeping track of guest's preferences.
Greeting and seating guests according to MO standards.
Ensuring guest satisfaction.
Handling special requests from guests and VIPs.
Bidding guests farewell.
Anticipating the guests' needs.
